Nonwoven manufacturing lines

The issue:

In a nonwoven manufacturing line, high levels of static charge are generated on the nonwoven fabric due to temperature fluctuations, friction between the nonwoven fabric and rollers or conveyor, and humidity. This results in (i) attraction of fine dust, hair, loose fibers, etc., by the fabric. This is undesirable as these fabrics often form the base for masks and other hygiene products (ii) web wander and uneven winding in the line (iii) equipment damage (iv) uncomfortable shocks to operators

The remedy:

Valstat static bars are highly effective in removing static charges during nonwoven manufacturing. Position the Valstat anti-static bar, as shown below. These bars generate a balanced flow of positive and negative ions and directed at charged surfaces, which neutralise static ions and thus, prevent material stacking and uneven winding issues.
