In recirculating dryers of laminators, coaters, rotogravure and flexographic presses, solvents that dry out from the materials being processed can accumulate in the enclosed environment. Since the air is recirculated, these evaporated solvents can get trapped within the system, leading to an increase in solvent concentration.
NIRA (Italy) offers a solution with their LEL monitoring system, which effectively mitigates these risks by maintaining solvent concentrations well below 50% of the lower explosive limit (LEL).
The NIRA LEL monitoring system is equipped with either infrared or flame ionization monitors, coupled with PLC-based controls for recirculating and levelling dampers.
