The issue:
Plaiting is a process to deposit textile webs as a stack. Swing type plaiters are used for woven fabrics and a linear plaiter is used for knit fabrics. During the plaiting process, static charges are created on the fabric due to contact and separation from rollers, as well as temperature changes. These charges can build up on the stack, leading to problems like dust attraction and discomforting shocks to operators.
The remedy:
Static eliminator bars work by directing a balanced flow of positive and negative ions, directed towards the charged surface, thus neutralising the charges and improving the quality and aesthetics of finished product. Position the Valstat static eliminating bar, as shown below for removing static charges.

AxisValence offers a range of off-the-shelf and customised electrostatic control products like static eliminators, charging systems, static charge monitoring systems, for industrial applications. Contact us to know more.
