The issue:

Very high static charge levels are commonly encountered on the surface of paper and plastic
films, during sheeting and cutting applications. The repelling forces created by the static charges results in poor or improper stacking of these sheets. The materials being processed, high speeds, ambient temperature and humidity can accentuate the static charge levels.

The remedy:

Position the Valstat anti-static bar, as shown below. Valstat bars produce a balanced flow of
positive and negative ions directed at the charged sheets, thus neutralising the static charges. Proper and consistent stacking is ensured, therefore improving quality and enhancing throughput to optimum levels.
